Kawartha Tubing will no longer be renting tubes.  If you have pre-purchased tickets you will receive a refund. Ontario Parks has limiting the number of tubes we rent to 6 every 30 minutes and demanding that we obtain an offsite parking lot and bus customers into the Park.  These demands have forced the Company out of business. Sorry for the inconvenience.

How  Kawartha Tubing works

Purchase tube rental tickets for  $12.50 per person from this website.  Drive to 2661 Peterborough County Road 36, Buckhorn, ON.  A Kawartha Tubing employee will be waiting to provide tubes and life jackets in order for you to float down the Mississagua River for approximately 1 km, 40 minutes.  At the end of the run, there is a beautiful small waterfall where you can swim at one of the most spectacular spots in the Kawarthas.  After leaving the water, children will receive a scavenger hunt list of items to identify along the 600 meter walk back along the interpretive trail. The list will describe how Aboriginals used the various items in nature for medicines and their livelihood.  You can do the adventure twice during the two hour tube rental.

Get your children back into nature...

Children are getting too much electronic screen time and far less than the recommended one hour of daily physical exercise. They need to get outdoors and enjoy nature. This activity is exciting and will teach children to respect and love nature with all its beauty.  Making the outdoor adventure fun will instill a love for the wilderness that will last a lifetime.
